NX Shape Search Controls Can Now Be Combined With Metadata

This video shows Teamcenter finding parts for managed NX in an environment where both NX and Teamcenter are Geolus Shape Search enabled.

Up until recently, only Shape has been used as a search control. You can now use Teamcenter metadata to refine the search.

The richness of the integration is illustrated by starting the search in NX and displaying the results in Teamcenter where they can be filtered with Teamcenter metadata.

The chosen result is opened in NX.  New with Teamcenter's Active Workspace v6.2 is the ability to combine shape controls with metadata in a single dialog, reducing user interface navigation and reducing the number of clicks.
