Pack and Go command not coming in SE managed mode.

User need to export the design data outside from Teamcenter with all child parts and drafting files.

Solution

The Pack & Go function is available with native Solid Edge only and its main purpose is to pull all files to a central location to be zipped. With SEEC the files are automatically centralized locally, in the SEEC cache.

With Teamcenter, you need to use the "Create Package" command to create a zip of all cache files from the customer's cache and use those files for re-import.

To enable the Create Package command you need to set the preference "SEEC_Enable_CreatePackage=1".

To use the SEEC Create Package command to create an unmanaged Solid Edge data set. You can open the SEEC cache assistant to see if the Create Package option is enabled.

If not enabled, you can enable Create Package in the Teamcenter options by setting the Teamcenter preference "SEEC_Enable_CreatePackage =1" and restarting the Solid Edge session.

You can clear the existing cache if you want specific assembly data only to be exported, as the cache will have all the existing data that you have opened earlier in Solid Edge. So Clear the cache and then Open the assembly for which you want to use the Create Package command and then go to the SEEC cache and use the Create package command.

There is an option to download drawings and documents available in file 'Open Options' while opening file to Cache workspace.

This will download all linked drawings and documents to cache Assistance. You can include all documents in create package.
