In this scenario, a user has a problem with patterned Assembly Features. It has worked fine on one part, but is missing on the other part.
Although the pattern of the cutout is placed across both parts the slot is not applied to the second part and the pattern shows a warning.
This has always worked this way. The assembly feature 'Cutout 1' itself affects only one part as seen in the Assembly PathFinder, where it states 'Modified Parts'.
After pattern, the feature does not know about the newly affected part(s) but the user can edit the definition of the feature and add those newly affected part(s) in the 'Body Selection Step'.
Now the pattern affects both parts.
