NX Surfaces are missing from geometry when shaded

When my model is shaded some faces are missing / transparent?

Why is this and how can I fix this?

Frequently this is an issue with the facets stored in the part which can be introduced with an issue during the facet updates. This mild corruption to the part can be fixed with the following steps

- Open the Part

- Preferences > Visualization > Facet Cache

- Turn on the option for "Delete Saved Display Facets" and click the Regenerate Facets Button

- Click OK

- Save the Part

The last step will store the corrected Facet Display in the part so the issue does not occur next time the part is opened. This only works if the option "Save Shaded Display Facets" is turned ON

There are other possible causes of faces missing such as issues detected using the Examine Geometry command.
