An image file has been used to create a Decal Sticker, or has been placed on a drawing sheet in a NX part, however since the part was created the original image has been lost or deleted.
How can the images file used in the NX part be retrieved? Where are those image files stored?
SolutionThe images used for the decal stickers or images on drawings are stored within the NX part file itself and there is currently no command available to export the image(s) used in the decal sticker definition.
However, using the method shown in the video you can extract the original image from the part.
The basic steps are:
1) Create a drawing sheet or open drawing sheet containing the image
2) Insert --> Image , select the embedded image used for the decal/sticker or on the sheet
3) Export --> DWF/DWG
4) Set options to export V2000 version of DWG and Export
5) Open folder containing the DWG, the image used in the NX part will be available as an independent file
