NX How to Export NX Assembly using PLMXML from Teamcenter

How to export an assembly using PLMXML file from Teamcenter for import into new Teamcenter Instance?

Sometimes, to assist PLM support to investigate issues it is necessary to export an assembly directly from Teamcenter. This allows PLM support to import the assembly with associated Teamcenter information into our databases for testing.

The steps for exporting an assembly (item revision) using PLMXML are:

- Select the Item Revision for the assembly in Teamcenter Client (RAC)

- Tools --> Export --> To PLMXML

- Select an output folder, set Transfer Mode to nx0tcinConfiguredDataFilesExportDefault (if available) or ConfiguredDataFilesExportDefault (NOT ConfiguredDataExportDefault), set an appropriate Revision Rule > OK

- When the export completes it will create a .xml file, an export log file and a folder containing all of the dataset files.  These files and the complete folder will need to be provided to PLMS to allow the assembly to then be imported.
