If 3D Annotation created using "Expand" on a drawing view is converted to a model geometry (from the view) using View Dependent Editing then the annotation disappears.
Reproduced Steps:
1. Create non-master drawing that references a component part
2. Create a base view > create an annotation after “Expand” the view
3. Finish “Expand” environment
4. Select the view border > mouse right click > View Dependent Edit > Convert Dependency > View to Model > select the annotation > OK
The behavior is working as expected.
Workaround:
Please making use of PMI command.
Notes3D annotations for the master part will be displayed without disappearing even if you perform the same operation. However, it is not recommended to enter 3D notes/dimensions, etc., after the function to enter notes and dimensions was supported by PMI. Siemens would like you to migrate to PMI.
If there is any function that cannot be realized by PMI, please kindly register a support case and Siemens will actively respond as an enhancement request.
