Solid Edge How to measure the length of a Helical Protrusion in Solid Edge

The Customer needs to know the length of a Helical protrusion ( Helix) for production.

The created Helix does not contain the length, so how would you obtain that ?

After having created a Helix, please go to Inspect > 3D Measure > Inquire Element.

Select the Surface of the Helix:

Copy the Surface Area of the Helix and paste it into the Calculator:

The result will be the length of the Helix because:

Surface of the Helix = Length * Circumference.

So, in this case the wire length of this Helix is 1727,578 mm.
