When publishing JT Plus PDF with Technical Data Package, select, for example, "1_Kanji.xlsx" as the data to attach. Even if you open the published PDF with Acrobat Reader and try to save the JT file attached to it externally, it will not work. The problem seems to occur when single-byte + double-byte characters are mixed.
Reproduced Steps:
1. Prepare nx part and an attachment of a excel or a word file
*** The attachment file name = < single-byte> + < double byte>.xlsx
2. PMI tab > Publish > select JT Plus PDF as Method and OK after selecting the attachment
3. Open the PDF in Acrobat Reader > try to Save Attachment
*** unable to save due to not appearing “Save Attachment” dialog
The behavior is due to Acrobat Reader problem
Workaround:
1. Making use of PDF-XChange Editor or other reader and save JT
2. Do not use single-byte character + double-byte character for the data name to be attached. (For example, avoid “1_Kanji.xlsx” and “1Kanji.xlsx”)
NotesThe cause is under investigation by the partner Acrobat Reader. Please kindly wait until the problem is fixed.
There is no problem in the case of <double-byte> + <single-byte> (for example, "Kanji_1.xlxs").
