Solution

Open the Draft template you want to export to Solid Edge Wiring & Harness Design.

     o   Under the View tab, enable Background sheets.

     o   Select the tab of the sheet you want to export [i.e., D-Sheet]

Background Sheets

Select the Save As Translated command

     o   Name the file and save it

 

Start the Solid Edge Electrical Symbol utility

Select Open Library and click Border Libraries from the dropdown list

 

Select the Import DXF command…

     o   Browse and select the DXF you exported from Solid Edge

     o   Select the Destination and verify the size and click OK

 

Once imported you can double-click to open it in the editor

Start Solid Edge Wiring & Harness Design

Open a Project

Open a Design

     o   On the Drawing tab select the Border command

 

Design with the imported Solid Edge border
