How to Create a Parameter Table for a Feature Template
Creating the Parameter Table
1. Open the Model.
2. In the Resource Bar, choose the Reuse Library.
3. Right click on the Feature Template and select Open.
4. Choose the Tools tab -> Utilities group -> Parameter Tables.
5. In the Parameter Tables dialog, under the Actions group, select New Table from Expressions.
6. In the New Table dialog, right click in the empty space and select Add Expression.
7. Select the expression that will be made dynamic.
8. Click OK.
9. Rename the parameter.
10. Right click on the configuration and select Add configuration.
11. Alter the value of the second configuration as desired.
12. Right click on the second configuration and select Rename Configuration.
13. In the Rename Configuration dialog, enter the name as desired.
14. Click OK.
15. Repeat for the other configuration.
16. In the New Table dialog, click OK.
17. In the Parameter Tables dialog, rename the table.
18. Click OK.
19. Choose the Tools tab -> Utilities group -> Feature Template Author.
20. Choose the Home tab -> Define group -> Configure User Interface.
21. Click on the Parameter table to add it to the UI.
22. In the Configure dialog, click Cancel.
23. Click Finish.
24. Save the part.
- Note: The part can be saved using Ctrl + S or by choosing File -> Save -> Save.
Demonstrating Parameter Table Application
1. Open a new model.
2. In the Resource Bar, select Reuse Library.
3. Navigate to the desired Feature Template.
4. Click and drag the Feature Template into the display.
5. Select the desired points.
6. Change the configuration.
- Note: The parameters of the feature can be altered using the drop-down menu.
7. Click OK.
8. Right click on the feature and select Edit with Rollback to alter the parameters once again.
