Summary

Details

The  command "User Defined Symbol" is hidden so old GAP symbol is not able to use in current NX versions.

Solution

The option (Create breaks) replaced the existing functionality provided by UDS ( Gap symbol).

The Create Breaks is used to create breaks or gaps on annotations and dimensions lines at the point they intersect was provided in NX.

The UDS supports some other symbols. Recommendation is to use custom symbols instead of UDS. Custom Symbols functionality is available since NX7.5.

We would like customers to start using new functionality instead of using old UDS. The UDS was removed from the OOTB menu and is made available through customize dialog.

How to creating or editing the dimension:

1. On the Linear Dimension dialog (under the Settings grouping), select the 'Settings' icon.

2. Browse to 'Line/Arrow-->Break'.

3. Toggle ON "Create Breaks".

This is also available in Drafting Preference.

1. In the Menu, select 'Preferences-->Drafting'.

2. 'Common-->Line/Arrow-->Break'.

3. Turn ON/OFF "Create Breaks".
