NX Number of Starts option in Thread feature is not affecting the actual CAD design.

The option "Number of Starts" in the Thread feature is not affecting the 3D model geometry.

Currently selecting multi thread starts with "Detailed" thread type will not affect the output of the detailed thread.

Thread dialog was revamped in NX1926, as a part of this change, we tried to make symbolic and detailed thread interactions / dialog consistent.

This also helps in type change., but there is no change in way of construction of detailed threads.

Detailed threads offer realistic renderings, but they do not capture callout information and they are not recognized by downstream applications. Hence, they are used only for viewing purpose.

Symbolic threads are extensively used instead of detailed thread as drafting, manufacturing or any downstream application can make use of them.

Also compared to detailed thread they offer faster creation and update as they do not comprise of complex geometries as like detailed thread.

So, we recommend user to use Symbolic thread instead of Detailed thread in case of specifying number of starts.
