How to WAVE Mirror a Part Without an Assembly

1.       Open a part file.

2.       In the Resource Bar, choose the Assembly Navigator.

3.       In the background of the Assembly Navigator, right click and select Wave Mode.

4.       In the Assembly Navigator, right click on the part and select WAVE -> Create Linked Mirror Part.

5.       In the Create Linked Mirror Part dialog, under the Export to group, click Browse.

6.       In the Create New Part dialog, name the new part.

7.       Click OK.

8.       In the Create Linked Mirror Part dialog, under the Mirror Plane group, choose Specify Plane.

9.       Select the desired plane for the part to be mirrored across.

10.   Click OK.

-          Note: In the Objects to Mirror group, by selecting “Model” only the solid body will be mirrored. This excludes other features such as the WCS and sketch.

11.   In the Make Work Part dialog, click OK.

-          Note: Only the solid body is mirrored over.

12.   Any changes made to the original part will carry over to the WAVE Mirror part, even in an assembly, as the parts are associative.

-          Note: Both parts must be fully loaded to update.
