How to Populate the Reuse Library with a Part Family

Adding a Part Family to the Reuse Library

1.       Open a Model containing a Part Family.

2.       In the Top Border Bar, choose Menu -> Tools -> Resource Bar Tabs -> Reuse Library -> Reuse Library Management.

OR

In the Resource Bar, select Reuse Library and choose Library Management.

3.       In the Reuse Library Management dialog, click Add Library.

4.       Navigate to the location of the Part Family and select it.

5.       Click OK.

6.       Rename the file as desired.

7.       Click OK.

8.       In the Reuse Library, under the Folder View group, navigate to the new folder.

9.       Locate the desired part and right click.

10.   Select Create KRX File.

11.   In the Create/Edit KRX File dialog, under Primary Parameters, select and transfer all parameters from the Part Family.

12.   Click OK.

Adding Part Family Part to a New File

1.       In the Resource Bar, select Reuse Library.

2.       In the Member Select – spare parts group, locate the part and right click.

3.       Select Add to Assembly.

4.       In the Add Reusable Component dialog, under the Primary Parameters group, the part variation can be altered.

5.       When finished, click OK.
