Why is the Import Files for Part dialog appearing when Saving or Closing a part?
SolutionThe 'Import Files for Part' dialog is appearing when there is an export log file generated for the part you are saving or closing.
It is basically asking if you want the related export log also stored in Teamcenter when you save or close the part.
If you chose to also store the related STEP log file in Teamcenter, it will be stored as a Named Reference of the dataset.
An 'OK' or 'Cancel' on the form (without selecting the logs) should continue to save the part without importing the associated file. However, if the user does not select to import the associated files, they will continue to get this dialog every time they save this data in this NX session. Once the associated file has imported, the dialog stops appearing during a save.
If you no longer wish to be prompted for importing related translation logs during a 'Save' or 'Close' of the part, you can set this Customer Default:
1. Select 'File-->Utilities-->Customer Defaults'.
2. Expand 'Teamcenter Integration' and Highlight 'General'.
3. Select the 'General' tab.
4. Toggle off 'Export Associated Files'.
5. OK the Customer Defaults dialog.
6. Re-start NX.
