Solid Edge Original body disappears after Mirror Copy Part

In this scenario, the user has a Solid Edge part file and wants to make a symmetrical copy of the geometry shown below about the XY plane using Mirror Copy Part.

However, the result after doing the Mirror Copy Part is that the original body disappears.

 You can see that the mirror plane is not coincident with the face of the geometry.  As the distance of the mirror plane to the geometry face is very small (less than 0.2mm) it is causing tolerance issues. Here is the work around:

1. Go to to the original body.

2. Using the Subtract feature, subtract the geometry from the XY mirror plane side.

3. Now the Mirror Copy Part should succeed.
