Solid Edge How to RESERVE a license in flexlm options file

How do I RESERVE my 2D Drafting license for a specific host?

I have a Solid Edge Foundation and a 2D Drafting license on my license server.  I want to RESERVE the 2D drafting for a specific host, so that it will always use this license.

This is how to use the reservation for the ugslmd license server:

My options file (ugslmd.opt)

EXCLUDE solidedge HOST <hostname>

RESERVE 1 solidedge2ddraftingm HOST <hostname>

After a restart of the server the flexlm log will show:

10:48:02 (ugslmd) EXCLUDE HOST <hostname> from solidedge

10:48:02 (ugslmd) RESERVING 1 solidedge2ddraftingm/0534 6E92 4262 1919 license for HOST <hostname>

When you start Solid Edge it will checkout the 2D drafting

10:48:22 (ugslmd) DENIED: "solidedge" <user>@<hostname> (User/host on EXCLUDE list for feature. (-38,348))

10:48:22 (ugslmd) OUT: "solidedge2ddraftingm" <user>@<hostname>

Reserving the seat prevents anyone else from getting it but it does not prevent you from getting other seats.  In this case the Foundation seat is the higher seat and is checked out first  but the RESERVED 2D Drafting seat cannot be checked out by anyone else but you.

If you EXLUDE the host for the foundation seat, you will not be able to check it out.
