NX for Design

Summary

Details

Editing an internal sketch (legacy sketch) used for an extruded feature makes the extruded feature the current feature. (Last feature does not become current feature)

Reproduced Steps:

1. Prepare a part to be created in lower NX Series

-1. Create a model by using Internal Sketch (legacy) as a sketch section for Extrude or other features

2. Start higher NX up with new sketch apriorism

-1. File > Utilities > Early Access Feature > Use the new solver and UI for sketching = ON

3. Select Extrude feature > mouth right click > Edit Sketch > select Renew and Edit

Finish the sketch

Solution

This behavior is working as expected. It is the same as the behavior when explicitly performing "Renew Feature" command. This is because in the case of this sample model, the sketch was renewed in step 3.

Notes

This behavior is the same for all features, not just legacy sketches, and Renew Feature command will make the renewed feature the current feature.
