Summary

Details

After inserting PMI Coordinate Note, its title was changed by "Rename" command. After that, when "Make Current Feature" is preformed, the title name returned to the name before editing. Also, it did not go back to the edited name even if performing "Make current feature" the last feature in history.

Reproduced Steps:

1. Insert PMI Coordinate Note

      -1. Menu > PMI > Specialized >Coordinate Note

2. From MBD or Part Navigator, rename the tittle of Coordinate Note, e.g "002".

-1. In Navigator, select the Coordinate Note > mouse right click > select Rename

Before:

After:

3. Make the first feature (the "Datum Coordinate System" in this case) "Current Feature"

4. Verify the title of the Coordinate Note from MBD or Part Navigator

5. Perform "Make Current Feature" against the last feature and verify the title

*** After performing steps 4. and 5., can confirm that the title will return to the state before the change and that the content after the change will be lost.

Solution

This behavior is due to NX problem and will be fixed in NX 2312 Series.

WORKAROUND:

Do not use "Rename" command, use "Edit". In this case, no problem occurs.

Notes

The same problem occurs when renaming by holding and selecting "Coordinate Note" from MBD or Part Navigator.
