Working with resources in Process Simulate on Teamcenter

========================================================

In this version 2206 the work with resources in Process Simulate on Teamcenter is simplified, reducing the need for pre-defined datasets in Teamcenter. The following are now available, making it easier to work with resources:

* Add kinematics to compound equipment without a pre-defined kinematic dataset (only available for compound equipment that is not of type MEWorkarea).

* Add kinematics to objects below compound equipment.

* Add and edit single resources and model them without pre-defined Direct Model dataset (from now, there is no need for dedicated type definitions in the Process Simulate Mapping File).

* Have a compound equipment that does not have any kinematics.

These improvements are enabled by redefining mapping of resources to Process Simulate, as follows:

* Compound Resource-any MEWorkarea that does not have kinematics (if you are using a different reserved type than MEWorkarea for the compound resource, you can configure it in the Process Simulate mapping file)

* Compound equipment-any non-workarea with children

* Resource Instance-any non-workarea without children

Note:

* Backward compatibility

* Any MEWorkarea with a kinematic dataset is still treated as compound equipment.

* Data saved in a disconnected study with a previous version, is still subject to previous assumptions. You can recreate disconnected studies in order to implement the new enhancements.

* Process Simulate Mapping File: SuperComponentRevisionTypes element is no longer supported. When you upgrade an existing mapping file, it should be manually removed.

* Limitations

* It is still not possible to create new compound equipment in Process Simulate on Teamcenter, or to change its structure.
