How to Remove an Arrow/Extension Line from an Ordinate Dimension
Removing Arrow/Extension Line
1. Right click on the ordinate dimension. Choose Edit.
2. In the Ordinate Dimension dialog, in the Settings group, click Settings.
3. In the Ordinate Dimension Settings dialog, expand Line/Arrow and choose Ordinate.
4. In the Set group, deselect Show Dimension Line and Display Zero at Baseline.
5. Click Close.
6. Click Close again.
Making Settings Persistent
1. In the Top Border Bar, choose Menu -> Preferences -> Drafting.
2. In the Drafting Preferences dialog, expand the Dimension group and choose Ordinate.
3. In the Step group, deselect Show Dimension Line and Display Zero at Baseline.
- Note: These settings will only be stored in the file they are set in and will be applied to all future dimensions. Any previously set dimension will not change unless manually altered.
4. Click Ok.
Demonstrating Ordinate Dimension Settings
1. Choose the Home tab -> Dimension group -> Ordinate.
2. Select the origin, then select to the location being measured to.
- Note: The measurement is not shown.
3. In the Ordinate Dimension dialog, under the Baseline group deselect Activate Baseline and choose Activate Perpendicular. This will properly display the measurement.
4. Place the dimension.
5. Click Close.
