Summary

Details

When creating a sub-operation in the inspection path with the Move Type- Point Set, there is an option "Distance from edge". What does this mean?

Solution

The option "Distance from Edge" allows you to move the Point sets away from the edge in any given geometry. This is needed to avoid the probe in making contact at the Edges of Geometry.

For Example:

In the below images a plane feature needs to be measured with set of Points.

A. Point sets with Distance from Edge=0

B. Point sets with Distance from Edge=5

Although you have other options like Start Percentage and End Percentage in the U V Limits to control the Point Sets, the Distance from Edge gives you an additional control.
