Solid Edge Why is Solid Edge 2D Nesting not starting?

If the license server "Siemens_LicenseServer_v2.1.0.0_Win64_x86-64.exe" is installed and you launch Solid Edge 2D Nesting, you may get the following license message:

Please define this variable in the system environment variable:

SALT_LICENSE_SERVER .  Set the Variable Value to 29000@servername where "servername" is the name of the machine on which the license server software is installed.
