Older versions of NX had a Create Filter (and associated Apply Filter) option in the Operation Navigator (ONT) under the right mouse button context menu:
Beginning with the new ONT in NX2206, this filter function has been replaced by the new universal Filter function. It is still under the right mouse button's context menu, but it is accessed by right clicking the column header of the property you want to filter.
The options presented are column specific now. That means if you invoke the filter dialog in the first column, you see different options than you will see when invoking it on another column. For example, the Edit Status filter is only available for the Title column, and will present you with a list of dat from that column, such as operation and program group names:
Right clicking to get the Filter command on the Tool column gives you filter choices for the tools in the setup only:
The previous “Type” filter option that is the first dropdown list on the old filter dialog can be achieved by making the “Operation Type” column visible (this column is hidden by default) and then filtering on that column using the standard contains/begins with/ends with/… options under the Filter function.
