NX NX Ray Traced Studio GPU accelerated rendering on NVIDIA's Ada Lovelace architecture

The following information applies to NX production releases prior to NX2306 for NVIDIA GPUs based on the Ada Lovelace architecture (ex. NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation [can be installed in both desktop workstations and data center server systems]; NVIDIA L40 [data center server GPU]; more desktop, laptop, and data center products to follow).

In order for NX Ray Traced Studio to properly recognize and fully utilize the latest NVIDIA GPUs based on the Ada Lovelace architecture (i.e. GPU accelerate rending) a customer should set the following currently undocumented environment variable prior to running NX:

UGII_IRAY_ENABLE_GPU_FOR_RENDERING=1

NX2306 will be modified to automatically utilize the Ada Lovelace based GPUs. Therefore, the above environment parameter will not have to be set for NX2306 and later.
