Create a new TNC640 post from the OOTB template in PC. In it, we set specific plane spatial parameters, for example:
Enable the TCPM preposition option:
When posting a planar (3-axis) type operation, we get the proper PLANE SPATIAL output:
However, using this same post with no changes on a multiaxis operation, we get the OOTB default values for the PLANE SPATIAL parameters, not the values defined within the post as above:
This is intended behavior.
PLANE SPATIAL output for “preposition TCPM mode” is used to rotate tables at the first motion of 5 axis operations. Under this condition, Post Configurator is designed to output “L A-78.86 C278.16 FMAX” plus the capability to move on the machine’s XY plane then the machine’s Z direction.
When we preposition TCPM with the PLANE SPATIAL code, in most cases (in other words, best practice), users would like to see the rotary axes move in the normal way, not in TCPM mode. Otherwise, the machine might go beyond the limit of a linear axis. Therefore, for default PLANE SPATIAL output for positioning under TCPM, "STAY" and "L AQ120 CQ122 FMAX" are used in PC library code.
If customers would like to change this output, they need to replace the below buffer tag of TCPM_PREPOS_PLANE:
