Solid Edge Bend Radius changes after Direct Editing with Bend Angle

In this scenario, the user has a Solid Edge Ordered Sheet Metal part consisting of a Tab and a Flange. 

They then do Direct Editing via Home - Modify - Bend Angle and increase the angle.  As a result the bend radius changes.

Why is this?

This is working as designed.  The reason the radius is changing when modifying the Bend Angle is that the plate lengths of the Tab and Flange are maintained.  If you want to use Direct Editing you would need to also edit the bend radius (Modify - Bend Radius)
