The site has created custom feature group and operation names in the machining knowledge rules. In NX11 and NX12, the machining rule for the "FCS" feature created four distinct geometry groups:
14MM_FCS
16MM_FCS
22MM_FCS
24MM_FCS
each with accordingly named operations. In NX2206, the 22mm FCS feature groups and operations no longer appear as they do in NX11, but are now combined as part of the 24mm FCS. Why is this happening and how do I get this to work the same way it did in NX11?
SolutionNewer versions of NX have a refactored Create Feature Process function in Feature Based Machining (FBM). We have seen this cause some trouble when using logic developed for the older process. You can revert back to the older Create Feature Process by turning ON the "Classic Create Feature Process" feature toggle. This is turned OFF by default to have NX use the new process as the standard.
