In 3D modeling space users are allowed to display shaded models without edges.
However once the same view is placed in Drafting, with Shading enabled, all edges/silhouettes will be visible.
It seems there is no proper way to avoid extracted edges and silhouettes in shaded drawing views
SolutionActually there is no ideal solution for that but a quick and feasible way to achieve that result is to resort to the good old 'View Dependent Edit' tool.
Hence simply RMB > View Dependent Edit on the view border.
Select the Edit Entire Objects option and preset Line Style to Invisible, then Apply.
Once applied set selection filter in the selection bar to Curve ...
... and drag your mouse pointer to select all those model edges/silhouettes within the shaded view.
Cancel to close the View Dependent Edit dialog and here we achieve what needed.
