NX cannot apply the format option "Italic" to font "Arial Unicode MS", while MS Word (or other MS products) can do this.
SolutionMicrosoft product are able to emulate the italic option for fonts, even when that font does not contain this capability. NX does not offer such a function.
In NX the italic format option is available only, when "Italic" font style for the selected font is included.
To check the font in question:
- open folder C:\Windows\Fonts
- check font styles
If this doesn't show Italic style here, then NX does not offer this.

This is not a software fault in NX. An ER 10479953 already exists to have a new capability like in Word:
"Customer wish to enhance NX like Microsoft WORD. In Microsoft WORD, the italic font style can be applied even though that style is not defined in associated font file."

Microsoft does not deliver Arial Unicode MS font anymore with Windows. It must be purchased, if customer wants to use it further.
