Old JTs made with NX loaded in Teamcenter Visualization do not show any geometry until the user clicks in the top node.
Fresh created JTs from newer version load completely without any additional user action.
"Preferences -> 3D Loader" > "Other" > "Show all parts on document open (Not Recommended)" is not set for both circumstances.
SolutionIt is to assume that the older JT files are from NX before V1953 because there has been a change in NX. Model views are written into the JT file, what was not the case before that. In NX12, for example, this was not yet the case.
In Teamcenter Visualization, the following switch is set in the PMI preferences by default:
(- open a JT)
- "Menu > PMI > Preference > Global Settings > Advanced > Show Default model view during file open"
If there is a model view in the JT file, it will be loaded and displayed. This explains the different behavior between two similar JT files.
If you uncheck the above option and restart Teamcenter Visualization, you will get the same image after loading in both cases.
