Summary

Details

In some threading types registered as standard, the threading type cannot be specified at the time of input. Only "1.0xDiameter", which is set as the initial value, can be selected, and other types (such as "1.5xDiameter", "2.0xDiameter", "2.5xDiameter", "3.0xDiameter" and etc. ) return to the initial value even if selected.

Reproduced Steps:

 1. Prepare a simple model such as a box solid

 2. Home tab > Hole

-1. Selecting "Threaded" as the hole type

-2. Select "Metric Helical Coil Coarse" as "Standard" in "Form" group

-3. Select something other than "1.0x Diameter" as the "Thread Depth Type“

Solution

The behavior is due to NX problem and will be fixed in NX 2306.

Workaround:

Complete the creation once. Then change it to desired type in edit.

Notes

1. The issue occurs in NX 2007 Series and NX 2206 Series.

2. Types of Standard Form that cause problems :

    Metric Helical Coil Coarse

    Metric Helical Coil Fine

    Inch Helical Coil NC

    Inch Helical Coil NF
