NX Multicad dataset fails to load into NX

After configuring Teamcenter and NX for Multicad environment (see link in Notes area), NX fails to open the multicad dataset due to these possible results:

Case 1: Popup error message: Template part cannot be loaded

Case 2: There is no error message, and nothing is loaded into NX.

Examine the NX syslog by searching for this string:

       +++ while creating part from 'use template part

IF the above exists, it means there is an issue with the default seed part being used. Check on the validity of this Default Seed Part specified by this Customer Defaults setting:

Customer Defaults > Teamcenter Integration > General > Parts without NX Dataset tab

It is likely the above seed part has a prt file issue such that NX is unable to open it, try opening it in NX to confirm.

If unable to open this seed part, then it is necessary to repair that seed part dataset for NX to successfully load it. Once repaired, then multicad dataset will also load successfully.
