NX for Design

Summary

Details

I would like to specify Japanese character for DXF file name, but a message "failed" is output to "Notification Center" in Resource bar.

Reproduced Steps:

1. Prepare a drawing sheet for DXF/DWG output

2. File > Export > AutoCAD DXF/DWG

-1. Specify Japanese character as the output file name for DXF/DWG

-2. Any other options are not required to reproduce the problem

3. Check "Notification Center"

Solution

The behavior occurs only in NX 2216. It’s due to NX problem, fixed in NX 2212.

Notes

1. An error is displayed in the "Notification Center", but DXF/DWG file is actually created (output) normally. please ignore the error and make use of the created data.

2. An error message is also output when Japanese characters are used in the folder name.

3. This issue occurs not only in Japanese character but in all double-byte character.
