With NX1980 release and newer, when creating a new Assembly via File > New command, it now brings up a dialog call Assemble (instead of Add Component)

After adding the same component twice, by Apply first and OK next, notice on the screen these duplicate components are coincident in position:

Yet the Information Object on these components shows different assembled origins:

First Component has Component Translations of:

    Delta X   38.884897655 mm

    Delta Y   106.087374719 mm

    Delta Z    90.866322634 mm

Second Component has Component Translation of:

    Delta X   -174.943375556 mm

    Delta Y   251.403123625 mm

    Delta Z   208.200240447 mm

Question: Why the differences in assembled origin between these two duplicate components while on screen display shows coincident in position?

Solution

Visually those components appear coincident only in the default Trimetric model view, but they are not assembled as coincident, and the different Component Translations Delta X Y Z on them are correct.  This can be confirmed by simply rotating the view to deviate from the aligned Trimetric model view; now it shows these duplicate components are in different assemble space:
