After upgrading the Teamcenter environment, NX is no longer reading the PAX files for the 'File New' templates.

When going to 'File-->New' in NX, the following message is received:
There are no templates available to support the operation you are trying. Either turn on the show blank templates customer default (It is on) or add the templates to the pax file to support this operation.

However, 'Show Blank Templates' is turned ON in Customer Defaults:
1. Select 'File-->Utilities-->Customer Defaults'.
2. Expand "Teamcenter Integration' and select 'General'.
3. Select the 'File New' tab.
4. Toggle ON 'Show Blank Templates'.

The PAX files are valid and stored in UGII_TEMPLATE_DIR, but NX is not reading them or processing them.

There is nothing about loading or processing the PAX files at all in the NX log.
Even if the PAX file is stored in Teamcenter, the NX log shows one line where it picked up on this Teamcenter PAX file; however, the PAX file is not processed.

Solution

This was after an upgrade to Teamcenter 13 where bmide_generate_client_cache is used by TEM.

The solution is to re-generate the client cache using generate_client_meta_cache to fix Teamcenter NX integration for the upgraded environment.

Now the PAX files will be read and processed.
