Dear NX Customer:
As part of our ongoing commitment to you to deliver the highest quality products to you, we regularly look at how the NX product is packaged and delivered. In 2020 we decided to remove redundant license bits from the NX Mach licensing. This makes the license file easier to understand by removing unused entries.
To allow us to track the initial implementation and adoption the decision was made to use new part numbers and flag the original NX Mach products as legacy products.
Now two years on we have decided to automatically move all customers to the new part number scheme.
The purpose of this SFB is to be sure that you are not surprised by this change when you receive a new license file.
For most customers, the timing of this change is being coordinated by your local team to coincide with regular maintenance renewal schedule. Further details will be provided at your renewal time.
For some customers, this change could happen at an earlier time. Specifically anytime you make a change that results in a new license file being generated for your site. This would be the case if you were to request a Trial product be added to your license or if you need to move your license to a new server.
In all cases, the result is you will see legacy product IDs transition to current product IDs while the core NX product capabilities remain the same.
The only impact you should notice is that the text string used to identify your Bundle when running NX will change, because it based on the product ID.
For those who use the interactive Licensing Tool GUI to set your Bundle, you will need to re-select your appropriate Mach bundle by name.
For those who administratively set bundles using either the Windows environment variable (UGS_LICENSE_BUNDLE) or a Windows Registry key value (NX_BUNDLE, set via the Licensing Tool), you can programmatically set the value to be both the old and new values so that your clients can easily adapt to the new license file.
For example, if your value was previously "NX11100N" (for NX Mach 1 Design) you would use "NX11100N, NX91100".
If you previously used 2 bundles, such as "NX11100N, NX13100N" (for Mach 1 Design and Mach 3 Product Design) you would use "NX11100N,NX13100N,NX91100,NX93100".
For reference, here are the mappings for Product (and bundle ID's) that are changing. In most cases, the change consists of the leading "1" changed to a "9".

Users with NX Mach 3 Product Design or NX Mach 3 Industrial Design will see new capabilities with the addition of Artificial Intelligence-driven features such as select similar. These capabilities are NOT in the legacy products.
NX Design product line has a foundation in a core scalable seat, which can be ordered as NX Mach 1, NX Mach 2, or NX Mach 3.
The result of this work means that the current product IDs for the core design solid modeling seat are:
NX offers a range of integrated optional product modules that can be ordered individually, or as the NX Value Based Licensing package.
