Summary

Details

Consider a part with PMI table that references part attributes is imported into another part . If same attributes with different values are created in that another part, the attributes are not getting updated in the imported PMI table.

However it gets updated when a specific cell in the table is edited by adding a prefix/suffix .

Solution

If the part attribute does not already exist in the destination part that your are importing the other part (with table whose cells reference the part attribute) into using File->Import Part, then no link to the part attribute exists. Adding a part attribute after the import will not cause the imported cell to update. Work around is to first create the part attribute in the destination part (with same name as in the source part) and then do the File->Import Part.
