Solid Edge How to insert an Ohm symbol (capital omega) into a text box?

The customer has a text box on the drawing and wants to insert the Ohm symbol at a specific position between the other words.

How can this be executed?

The following steps explain how the Ohm symbol can be inserted.

• Execute a left-click in the text box at the position where the Ohm should be inserted.

• Select the command 'Select - Insert Symbols, Characters or Property Text' in the command bar.

• Select the command 'Insert Character' from the icon stack.

• Change the font within the appearing 'Character Map' dialog from 'Arial' to 'Symbol'.

• Find and select the Ohm symbol in the listing and choose 'Select' and then 'Copy'.

• Close the 'Character Map' dialog.
• Paste the copied symbol from the clipboard into the text box with the help of the shortcut Ctrl + v.

• Finish the text box command and check the result

The text box command allows to combine different fonts.  That is why the above described solution allows to insert the intended symbol from a font where it is available.

Depending on the cursor position within the text box the font then automatically changes.
