NX Rebuilding BOM using NX

User Accidentally deleted BOM from Teamcenter - NX assembly still exists

Settings in NX before opening the part file up again.

Open NX while your Tc Home is highlight (open to empty part)

Change your setting in the User Customer defaults :

File -> utilities -> Customer Defaults or Customer defaults button at the top

Change the Structure update on load to = None.

Hit OK

This will save the user DPV to your local machine

Change load options:

Assembly load options: If you do not see this icon the top of NX you will need to change your Role to Advanced:

Most important:

Close NX at this time.

Now we need to add a BOM View Revision to the existing Item Revision:

Select the Item Revision that is missing the BOM.

File New BOM View Revision

OK if all information is correct / Revision etc.

Now you will have a empty BOM in your part.

Select the NX dataset and open in NX.

When it opens in NX you will now see the Assembly in the left hand side of the part file showing correct.

Save the NX file and it will re-write the correct Assembly to the BOM.

**** Make sure to SAVE in NX.

Check the BOM by sending the Item Rev to structure Manager and you will see all the missing BOM.
