Solid Edge "Create Part in Place" options are not synchronized

When you create a new part in an assembly with the function “Create part in place” you can define your options and they are synchronized to the action bar icons. 

However, if you set the options in the action bar...

...and later return to the options box after, these settings are not synchronized back.

 This is working as designed.  The settings are only synchronized as long as the default settings and the options on the ribbon bar stay the same.  Once the user starts to change options in the ribbon bar they are no longer synchronized.  Any changes in the ribbon bar only last whilst in "Create Part in Place".  As soon as you activate the command to create another part all the settings revert to the default options.
