Teamcenter How to configure web browser for invoking EWI from Rich client?

Electronic Work Instructions Preview always open in Internet explorer. How to configure the required web browser for invoking EWI from Rich client?

When we launch “Show Electronic Work Instruction Preview” web page from MPP ( RAC) by default its opening in Internet Explorer and customer wants to Open either in Chrome or Firefox. We are using eclipse SWT browser embedded into RAC, the browser automatically picked from machine registry based on user's default browser.
So when we click on the Show Electronic Work Instruction Preview, web page will be opened in default browser set by Administrator. It will not depend upon the Teamcenter or RAC setting.

Administrators have to set the default browser on users machine and update the registry as per default browser. Check the below Teamcenter preference and Registry value which we have to update.

1) Update the browserWindowMode preference as 1 as below.

Determines how the browser window will be displayed (e.g. from QuickLinks open a weblink).
Valid values are 1/2/3.
1 - Launch externally (default).
2 - Launch in a single internal browser window.
3 - Launch in a separate internal browser window.

2) Open Registry Editor -> Registry : Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\htmlfile\shell\open\command -> update the chrome.exe location instead of iexplorer.exe.

Note:- Once you set the above 2 options, when we open the Electronic Work Instruction Preview from MPP or RAC browser will open in Chrome or Firefox.
