NX Part family member exported outside of Teamcenter cannot be cloned.

Part family member exported to Native NX when cloned gives a warning

Issue: Even though the part is no longer a family member, the user still receives the above error.

Workaround:

The workaround is to open the family member part and save it. Then the clone operation will not raise the warning.
