The user defines some 'Custom Colors' via the 'More...' option that is available in the 'Color' drop-down menu of Solid Edge and gives each custom color a unique name (e.g. User Color #1, User Color #2, User Color #3, etc.).
The user then selected these specified 'Custom Colors' to define the color of some elements e.g. in a Draft document.
After saving and closing the Draft document the user opens the file in another installation of Solid Edge and detects that the specified names of the 'Custom Colors' are not available in the other system.
Consequently, the user would like to know where these specified names of 'Custom Colors' are stored and how they can be made available in the other system as well.
SolutionThe definitions of the 'Custom Colors' are stored in the following folder of the registry.
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Siemens\Solid Edge\Version 222\CustomColors\ColorPicker
The user can transfer these definitions by exporting the selected 'ColorPicker' folder ...
... defining and saving a registration file name (e.g. CustomColors_ColorPicker.reg) ...
... and importing this file into the registry of the other system.
