NX for Design

Summary

Details

If some sketches created by old and new algorithms are mixed in NX part, is there any ways to identify whether the sketches were created by old or new without activating ("Edit" mode) it?

Reproduced Steps:

Preparation of a part where sketches created by old and new algorithms are mixed

Solution

There are 2 ways as below.

1. Check "Status" in "Column" of Part Navigator (PNT)

     - New sketch: "defined" is used as part of the string displayed in "Status"

     - Old sketch: "constrained" is used as part of the string displayed in "Status"

2. Execute Check-Mate Tests with “Check Sketch Status”

Note: Only new sketch will be detected. (Old sketch is not detected)

NOTES/REFERENCES

Sketch feature listed as the target by the "Renew Features" command is for versioning purposes, so new sketch created with older NX version is also listed as the target, so it is not possible to judge whether they are old or new.
