Tecnomatix CAD translator error when trying to convert a step file.

CAD translator is installed and licensed, but getting an error when trying to convert a step file.
Example of FATAL error:  Failed to run the translator.

Solution

The CATIA and STEP converter needs to be changed to basic.  Advanced does not support STEP.

With Process Simulate closed, open the Tecnomatix Doctor START / Tecnomatix / Tools / CATIA and STEP Converter.  Change to Basic Converter then reopen Process Simulate.


You should now be able to convert STEP programs.
