3. Go to New Sketch and create a line or a rectangle

4. Set "Selection Scope" to "Entire Assembly" or "Within Work Part and Components"

5. Select an end/start point of the created sketch line and then select the section curve for input a dimension

*** freezing NX.

Solution

The behavior is due to NX bug and the issue has already been fixed NX 2027.3300 and NX 2206 Series.

Work Around:

There is no other way than not selecting the section curve while creating the dimension.

Siemens recommends to hide the section curves and make some operations except when editing the section curves.

Notes

1. The behavior can be frozen, unresponsive, or out of control with subsequent operations.

2. The problem only occurs when performing a dimension operation.

3. The problem only occurs on the NX 1980 Series and NX 2007 series with new sketch environment.
