Summary

Details

Some customers use the background processes from the Solid Edge Wiring and Harness Design Migrate tool to backup data by exporting it out of the database in ccf or xml formats.

Is there a way to only import a subset of the data that gets exported?

Solution

The answer to this is yes for Projects and Symbols.

ElectricalPremigrate.exe  and ElectricalMigrate.exe commands use a specific folder structure.

Symbols and Projects each get exported as separate xml files and placed in the respective parent folder (or ccf if using compressed format for projects).

You can remove the files you do not need.  As long as you keep the same folder structure it will only migrate/import however many files it finds in there.
