The software creates locks when a user is editing data. Closing the application interface, the locks are released. If Solid Edge Wiring and Harness Design crashed or was killed on purpose with Windows Task Manager, the result is that you are not allowing the software to remove the locks correctly.
The most common error messages you are likely to see are as follows:
Design/symbol locked for edit.
Cannot open diagram for edit, open-read-only?
The pop up window says the diagram is locked by a user but the user does not have the diagram open.
Error: Locking code manager failed. Another user has locked the code manager.
SolutionIn Solid Edge Wiring and Harness Design User expand User Accounts
Select Clear Locks
Notes
NOTE: Valid locks may exist if users are active on the system so this action should be performed by a System Administrator and with caution. Unlocking designs like this could cause corruption so take special care.
